Measure Twice: DIY Calculator was built to help you plan renovations, not to build a profile of you. Every measurement, every material list and every drying timer lives on your device and nowhere else. This policy explains exactly what that means.
We do not collect any personal information, account details, usage analytics, or device identifiers. Room dimensions, project names and material lists you enter stay exactly where you typed them — on your phone or tablet.
Because nothing is collected, nothing is used, analysed, profiled or sold. There is no advertising engine reading your project data and no algorithm scoring your renovation habits. The app simply does the maths and shows you the result.
All room measurements, job selections, supply lists and drying timers are stored locally on your device's own storage. Measure Twice does not sync your projects to a cloud server, and we do not operate a database that could hold your information even if we wanted to.
The app does not embed third-party analytics kits, advertising networks, or behavioural trackers. There are no external calls made on your behalf while you measure a room, calculate materials, or work through the order-of-work playbook.
Since your project details never leave your device, the biggest security question is simply the one your phone already answers: screen lock, passcode and device encryption. We design every calculator and timer to run entirely offline, so there is no transmission to intercept.
Measure Twice does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect personal information at all. The app contains no account system, chat feature or data-entry field that requests personal identifiers, making it appropriate for a general audience including younger household helpers measuring a bedroom with a parent.
There is no account to manage because there is no account. Every measurement and supply list lives inside the app itself, so deleting the app from your device removes all associated project data completely and permanently — nothing remains on any server, because nothing was ever sent to one.
If our approach to privacy ever changes, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. We do not expect that to happen, since "nothing leaves the device" is the whole point of how Measure Twice is built — but we'll say so clearly here if anything does.
